It has been revealed that the Chinese historical drama “Jia Jin Chai,” starring Tian Xiwei (田曦薇), will also be streamed on Netflix (Netflix).

Tian Xiwei, whose popularity soared due to the hit historical drama “Zhu Yu: The Jade Sovereign,” which was also released on Netflix this spring, will star in “Jia Jin Chai.” It has been learned that “Jia Jin Chai,” her first drama with a female protagonist, will be broadcast and streamed on state broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV), video streaming service YOUKU (YOUKU), and Netflix. In China, its broadcast and streaming from the 16th has been announced.

“Jia Jin Chai” is a 24-episode series starring Tian Xiwei and Yan An (閆桉), an adaptation of a novel of the same name. Yang Long (楊龍), director of last year’s hit “The Journey to You,” served as director, and Zhou Mo (周末), known for works like “Story of Yanxi Palace,” is in charge of the script.

In this work, Tian Xiwei takes on a dual role, portraying two contrasting characters: the poor orphan A Chou (Wei Rao) and the spoiled, arrogant fake noble daughter Jun Dai from a Marquis’ family. Wei Rao, who was married to Lu Zhuo (Yan An), the comatose heir of the Duke’s family, as a good luck charm for his recovery, finds her situation completely changed when Lu Zhuo suddenly wakes up. As they harbor suspicions about each other and try to uncover each other’s true intentions, romantic feelings gradually blossom between them. Furthermore, the story intricately weaves together the conflict between the real and fake noble daughters, secrets of birth, power struggles within the mansion, and conspiracies. (Mathilda)
