The #37 BMW MOTORRAD WORLD ENDURANCE TEAM (BMW, BS), running strongly in the lead, reached 200 laps before the six-and-a-half-hour mark. At seven hours, they had completed 217 laps after eight routine pit stops.
#5 F.C.C. TSR Honda France (Honda, BS) is second, about 1 minute 20 seconds behind the leading #37 BMW. #12 Yoshimura SERT Motul (Suzuki, BS) is third, two laps down on the leader.
#1 YART Yamaha Official EWC Racing Team (Yamaha, BS) set off from a pit stop without fully removing the rear stand, which delayed their rejoin, but they are fourth, two laps down. Fifth is #11 Kawasaki Webike Trickstar (Kawasaki, BS), and sixth is #99 Elf Marc VDS Racing Team/KM99 (Yamaha, BS), keeping Bridgestone-supported teams in all of the top six.
At the upcoming eight-hour mark, points will be awarded to the top 10 teams—a crucial juncture for the championship contenders.
