Moment powerful earthquake strikes Venezuela airport

The quakes were among the largest in Venezuela’s history. The worst destruction appeared to have hit the capital, Caracas.
Venezuela’s interim leader, Delcy Rodríguez, has declared a state of emergency and urged citizens to evacuate damaged structures. “We ask the population to remain calm and united,” she said. Donald Trump said the US was ready, willing and able to help in the disaster.
Venezuela’s interior minister, Diosdado Cabello, warned there could be aftershocks “which could also bring down some structures that were damaged by the main event.”
