Commercial pilots aren't typically flaky drama queens. They're trained, experienced, & consider their options while assessing the situation. His voice tells me he's concerned but in control. Just what you'd expect & desire in an emergency.
The flight radar path is not even close to synchronised with the audio, the final instruction was to turn to heading 360° (straight north) which is only the first loop on the path.
I actually respect that a lot, they’re basically using just their skills to fly, and that says a lot. If he was panicking and relying on automated controls, that would scare me.
I really hate how even 1 minute videos feel like they need to do the teaser thing where you start the video with the dramatic part at the end so then you hear it twice and it never is super clear that it's actually repeating because it's not like this is a produced piece or anything… Just trust people to listen to it normally .
The most non American thing that happened on our 250th anniversary of our great country! We can't even fly without auto pilot! That's an emergency! WTH! 😮😢😂

Crap, have to actually pilot today.
In my time flying I’ve had to declare emergency twice.
Autopilot packs it in and pilot declares, in essence, he can't fly the airplane! Think about that for a few seconds.
